It took us a long time to find a non-toxic perfume that fit our standards. We wanted a perfume that smelled luxurious like Chanel or Dior, but had best quality of essential oils and was formulated without toxic ingredients (phthalates and parabens). Little did we know that perfume was right in our backyard! My Daughter Fragrances is hand-compounded in France, filtered and bottled in small batches in the Alberta prairies (Canada).
We’ve adored every scent from My Daughter Fragrances but we’re absolutely in love with the newest scent Bloom 23.
We caught up with the founder of My Daughter Fragrances, Janey Ganson for a brief Q & A on her newest perfume.
What inspired you to create Bloom 23?
Can you describe the scent of Bloom 23.
Bloom is a celebration of the most regal white flower the gardenia, which definitely has a strong jasmine influence because those two flowers are basically sisters! It is a very creamy white perfume with a whipped vanilla finish.
How does Bloom 23 differ from Joyful and Always Loved?
Joyful is more if a citrus floral and Always Loved is actually a gourmand perfume with a nod to the floral which comes from the rose product used. Bloom is a full on white floral....so imagine walking into a garden and picking a white bouquet of the most gorgeous white flowers, it is soft, feminine, and that vanilla reminds me of whipped cream on top of pastry.
Who do you think Bloom 23 will appeal to?
If you adore jasmine you will LOVE it, the gardenia aspect is very classic beautiful and the vanilla turns nice and warm on the skin.
What can we expect from My Daughter Fragrances in the future?
Right now we are just finishing up construction on our perfume barn, where all of our production will take place. You can follow my life and brand on Instagram, I try share a little bit of everything! I would like to have some limited edition packing and a few surprises for next Christmas ...we shall see what unfolds.
