Green Beauty Blogger Spotlight: Ru | Short, Small, & Sweet

Posted by Amber 09/12/2015 0 Comment(s) Reviews,

We're thrilled to introduce a new blog series to Nuciya! As some of you may know, our co-founder Amber started blogging about green beauty well before the inception of Nuciya. Here she found a tight-knit community from people all over the world. This community had one thing in common – a passion for sharing healthy & non-toxic products. Overall green beauty bloggers review products and promote a healthy lifestyle. It’s exciting to see that every year there are more bloggers and YouTuber’s writing / speaking about green beauty and sharing great non-toxic products. In most cases green beauty bloggers are the first to introduce and test out new products. We love their honesty and variety of content. This makes green beauty bloggers very important to Nuciya as it introduces us to new and innovative products filled with healthy and natural ingredients.

This month we’re so excited to introduce Ru from the green beauty & lifestyle blog Short, Small & Sweet. Ru is originally from Singapore but currently resides in Greater Boston. She gained her US citizenship (yay!) in September 2013. Ru started blogging about her life and travels in Japan but after moving to the United States and realizing just how toxic the mainstream beauty industry is, she switched to natural and organic beauty products. Currently her blog features healthy beauty, food recipes and other hobbies such as knitting.

What we love about Ru is her general authenticity. Reading her bog makes you feel as though you are reading the thoughts of a close friend. It’s easy to feel connected to her and trust her opinion. What we really love is her “A Healthy Beauty Life with…” series. On her blog, this series features brand founders and beauty bloggers. It’s a great way to bring together those in the green beauty community!

We’re sure that once you visit Short, Small & Sweet, you’ll become an avid follower and won’t want to miss a post. Just check out a few of her reviews on a few brands carried at Nuciya – Laurel Whole Plant Organics and Josh Rosebrook.

To help kick-start our new blog series we’ve teamed up with Ru for a giveaway! Head over to her blog for a chance to win a gift card to Nuciya (open internationally, ends December 13, 2015) and see what Nuciya products are on her wish list. Good luck!
